Due to working Sunday I missed the good waves, so I hit it early Monday to catch the incoming tide and got fun little waves for a couple of hours. Once again I was the only person out. I love these days, small, clean no one else out.

I swear I’ve never been seen in a single frame on a Surfline cam. Roadmaster on the other hand has been in thousands GOAT!

Santa Barbara took out my newly minted Fowler MiniMax snub nose today-----so much fun! That board is just pure stoke....catches waves like a longboard, turns like a shortboard and trims like a midlength. I think Bruce put a little extra time and thought into this one as it was the first of its kind.

Back to the surf: super fun punchy little 2-3' point waves with a livelier inside section, water finally has cleaned up from all the rain recently and still hanging in there at a balmy 57*. Seemed like all the SB regulars were in the water somewhere today, Ryan Lovelace even showed up to play and just a great vibe as everyone was glad to be getting back to it after weeks of wind slop and chop.

Haven’t surfed in two months. Things just keep getting in the way. Packed the truck hoping the surf would stay above 1’ so I could slide my 9’10. To my suprise the bouys bumped up to 4.6@11s, about chest high, decent lines, dying offshore/side shore winds. 3 guys out. My first wave I felt like a statue. As I pulled out I thought, “I’ve gone and forgotten how to surf!”. Last wave went over 100 yards w a few great sections the lizzy beat w/ no problem. It felt much better than the 1st.
