Infinity has been notorious for promoting longboard deck pads. Years ago I tried it for a short while, but didn't care for it.

I bought a used Infinity a year ago and spent a few hours with Goo Gone removing the pad.

Since you brought up runways and what were they thinking...

Nothing like dropping 300,000 lbs of transport on a commuter airport.

Phenomenal stop on 3500 feet. And they flew it out later that day.

It doesn't look right - that's for sure, but got to say, I kinda liked it on my Infinity Rad Noserider - until someone stole it at a Jamboarders San O get together back in the day.

Still thinking about getting another Rad Noserider - though maybe without the deck pad this time. Loved that board.

hell of a short field landing and take off
yes, Steve @ infinity talked me into one of those deck pad options back in the 90's, took it off within the year and liked the board a lot better when the pad was gone

Hahaha! John, I was down at DP a couple of weeks ago, met with Steve at Infinity and settled on a 9'6" EPS template. He was really pushing those deck pads and I said NO! There are however newer deck patches out there now that are lighter and virtually clear and less weight. A friend swears by 'em but I'll stick with the wax. Easy on......easy off!
