hawaiian lifeguards practicing a little reverse race discrimination
and turning their back at pipe so a couple bros can pound a kid.

somebody beats my son like that and lifgaurds dont stop it ...things would get real interisting.

Hmm- ugly but no fault of the lifeguards. It looked like the lifeguard broke up the fight on the beach, nothing they can do about the fight in the water- can't abandon the PWC. That footie is several years old. The head lifeguard at the time was Mark Cunningham.

if you're son acted in anyway like the ass in that video you should let him get tuned up, perhaps not to that extent, but he deserved some sort of pounding. he in everyway started that altercation, watch it again, he throws the first punch and he keeps coming with it.

If there was a contest and he was asked to leave and still didn't, then he (kind of) got what he deserved. Also, it does look like he throws the first punch when he was in the water. To me, it looks like a disrespectful guy who doesn't know how to listen and really doesn't know how to fight got his ass kicked.

i am pretty sure it was a contest. i think if you listen you hear some mention of a contest. there would be no other reason to clear the water. in my estimation, he got the fisted-tattooing he deserved.

Hey Unforgiven, you saw something way different than I did. If your son acted like that I'd hope you'd give him an asswhoppin'.

I tend to agree. The only thing I can think about someone who insists on going back for more like that imbecile is maybe he's only playing with about 50 cards in his deck.

    you guys may be right,
the kid may have started it.
what authority did the goon paddling out have?lifegaurd?
    police? no.
    hawaian local enforcer?

but if i kicked the crap out of everybody on the main land that deserved it .i would be locked up.many times over.

lifegaurds call the local police/first aid all the time.but not this time.

The video is sickening to me. I suppose someone will say it is good news to the Island crowd to learn that it makes me less interested in spending my money to get over there and be a tourist. It is disgusting that a crowd on the beach watched without trying to stop it. There is no excuse for the local lifeguards to watch without intevention. That should be part of their basic job description. If they can't or won't handle the job, they should not have it.

It is disappointing that some of the folks that see the video now condone it. Yes, the blonde kid was a stupid jerk, and a smart-aleck assh*le. And then the guy that beat him up was an even bigger jerk. He proved nothing more than that; he won the biggest jerk contest. The final destruction of property by breaking the surfboard was a crowning blow of unacceptable behavior.

Any of you can post back whatever tirade you want against me, just a fellow from Texas who doesn't understand surf culture. I assure you it will not change my opinion. When there is a loudmouth that causes trouble at a sporting event, and I pick that example as there are just such occurences, the security guys round him up and escort him off premises. The protocol is not to tackle the guy and beat him up in front of a crowd just to show how tough they are.
