Board Train/cheap ideas - San Diego to The Garden State - NJ

    Putting out some feelers for a board train or cheap ideas to move a 9'8 w glass in ?

    Honestly I don't believe there are any, I'm sorry to say. Not to be a DD. But you could buy another board and put 2 in a box. :)

    I contacted her last week and the least expensive way was $195 and that was via truck. Best of luck with getting the board to the right coast. You may want to ask if JP has any coming this way where you could hitch a ride.

    And don't forget the board needs to be boxed,usually around $80

    I have a 9 ftr out there with fin box I need to get west and will split a box with you. It is in El Segundo. Trying to figure out a way to get out there and pick it up, but don't have any free time in the near future.

    What about Amtrak? It used to get mentioned a lot on here. I only used it once to help send 2 boards to fishy82 (Phila-Jax). Relatively inexpensive and boards arrived intact and got there the next day. I think it was $65 per board. I packed them carefully in a soft board bag.

    SG, the rules have changed and that glass On poses a real problem.
