thank you for posting this, pretty much identical to the 6'8 single wing pin Chuck made me.
West Cliff was actually a surfshop on the way to the east side, owner also had a glassing operation, would have Santa Cruz shapers like Chuck mow some foam, slap his label on and rack 'em.
Have any idea how that board made it to the east coast?
Roping offshore walls, that board would still be a kick..
Im pretty sure Inlet Outlet in Manasquan was a dealer back then
I had a good customer who had an uncle from Santa Cruz. His uncle moved to NJ in the late 70s and brought this board with him. When his uncle died, The board was left with his Father and he rode it until a few years ago.
Derek you killed these! They look absolutely awesome. I'll be buying at least two of those, if not 3. Will there be colored options, or black on white (doesn't matter to me, but girlfriend is wondering).
Echoing Matt, I'll probably be bringing close to a dozen boards. A mix of my shapes and old stuff. So psyched, weather looks like it'll be decent too!
Well, the swap's only a week away...looking forward to a great day!
Everyone that's been her knows the rules, but just quick reminder:
-All boards have to be USED...no NEW boards. It competes with the shop's boards and that's not what the day is for.
-Hard goods work...surfboards, skateboards, some fins, a few magazines...
-Let's skip the old Aloha shirts and a pile of old wetsuits...it's a boardswap.
-Have an awesome time!
Looking forward to it. Not buying or selling anything but will still be there. I will try to get some name tags.
edit: just bought 100 count of name tags. Should be sufficient.
Thanks dude! I appreciate it! I think we were doing a white s/s and possibly a blue s/s and tan l/s. Im not 100% sure what Eric went with
