Austin restored my DaCat recently. It's working it's way back up from Va Beach as we speak. People who have seen it already are raving about it. So I'm starting this thread to pressure Austin into posting a few pics because I can't wait until it gets to me, but also, I want everyone on the Forum to see what an awsome job Austin does with restorations. This guy is an incredible craftsman!

    Let's see 'em, Austin!

I'll have to post pics of the two guns he restored for another guy in NJ that I am shuttling up there. The repairs to my '67 Bing DN Lightweight came out perfect too.

Austin, Troy and Tracks, good seeing you and surfing with you on Sunday.

Scott, nice having a couple beers with you up in Jersey yesterday. Your board is safe and sound with about 30 others in my garage.

    Brian,

Thanks for posting those. Didn't think you would get to it so soon! Man, it looks incredible! (Also makes me feel stupid for having that leash plug put in about ten years ago.)

Austin and Crew, you guys are amazing! Hope you guys make it to Sano. And Bian, thanks again for the pics and for picking it up. Good to see you. Beers are on me the next you're up in Jersey.

My pleasure, Scott. Any time you need a board shuttled down there I'd be happy to take it for you. I have another Bing with Austin right now that Austin is making seaworthy, so I'll likely be stopping in when I head to the Outer Banks in late October.

Here's a Ben Aipa-shaped gun that Austin did a fantastic restoration job on. (Not mine - picked it up this weekend to shuttle back for another buddy in NJ.) When I was in Austin's shop on a previous visit, the fin had ben removed and major surgery was underway. I am amazed at how well the resin work was matched.

p.s. Scott or Austin, you should post pre-resto pictures of the Da Cat.
