There will be a 7 pm meeting of Boardholics Anonymous next Monday at the Sea Chapel, pls remember to bring a board to donate to the under served. If you own over 15 you should bring two. If you own over 20, we're prepared to offer personal intervention counseling after the meeting.
We'll open the meeting with a reading of John Peck's "We CAN find True Happiness with Just One Good Surfboard."

I just turned on my old work computer, and there was the list I started weeks ago. It seems like every time I re-read it, I remember another one. Kept it to boards that were in the garage long enough to make a mark in roughly chronological order. Probably another ten or so that failed to make an impression. Lots of great memories thinking this through!

I can remember details for almost every board on the list. Funny how I'll remember the fin or the stringer on a board I owned for a summer thirty years ago, and can't remember stuff that's supposed to be important that only happened last week.

    1. 6’6 G&S mid-seventies single, orange rails fading to clear deck. The board I wish I kept.
    2. 6’5 Linden Thruster circa 85
    3. 6’6 Life’s a Beach thruster circa 84
    4. 9’2 very early sixties Hobie with 2 curved stringers
    5. 6’8 Life’s a Beach thruster, step-up board, circa 85
    6. 10’6 mid sixties Hansen three stringer
    7. 6’6 Bill Minard Thruster
    8. 6’7 Bill Minard Thruster
Last minute entry: 6'5" Michael Baron thruster with the coolest skeletons airbrushed on the rails - maybe '87?
    9. 7’4 Seventies Bonzer
    10. 9’ Con Wingnose
    11. 9’ Minard 2+1 longboard
    12. 9’4 Minard 2+1
    13. 9’ Dennis Murphy all-arounder
    14. 9’2 Hobie GP squaretail
    15. 9’2 Minard
    16. 9’4 vintage Yater Spoon
    17. 7’2 thruster, first self shape
    18. 9’2 Murphy 2+1
    19. 9’4 first generation woody Yater surftech in Rift Oak veneer – this may have been the only custom woody surftech ever done (by custom I mean they used a veneer that didn’t usally go on that model at my request – ordered through South Coast Longboards in OB, they were cool and patient) Corky as all get out, but a fun board.
    20. 6’10 egg self shape
    21. 6’8 funboard self shape
    22. 9’2 self made Yater spoon copy. Two stringers and for some reason the gloss coat smelled like beeswax. Every time it came out of the bag, it smelled great.
    23. 7’2 GForce seventies single
    24. 9’2 vintage Jacobs
    25. 9’ vintage G&S Frye gun
    26. 6’6 ‘vintage’ eighties G&S thruster
    27. 7’ vintage Freedom single
    28. 9’8 vintage Hanson Superlight
    29. 7’6 Mark Billion egg
    30. 6’6 self shape quad fish
    31. 9’5 self shape longboad
    32. 9’7 self shape balsa, probably the best blank I ever got from Sharkbay, 7 stingers and great natural rocker
    33. 9’2 self shape longboard
    34. 7’6 vintage single garage board with WaveSet, should have stayed in the garage
    35. 9’2 self shape EPS longboard: the best longboard I ever shaped. Sold it, like an idiot though to a friend so I still get to ride it occasionally.
    36. 9’1 self shape compsand
    37. 9’4 self shape compsand
    38. 6’4 self shape twin-keeled fish
    39. 9’0 self shape three stringer
    40. 7’5 self shape stinger, first attempt at this type of board
    41. 7’4 self shape stinger, great board, ugly rasta glass job thanks to very stoned glasser
    42. 9’4 self-shape balsa longboard
    43. 9’2 Stewart longboard gun
    44. 9’2 Murphy 2+1
    45. 9’2 self-shape compsand longboard gun
    46. 7’5 self shape balsa single fin
    47. 7’6 self shape balsa single fin
    48. 9’2 early sixties Wardy
    49. 9’6 Guethary Surfboards Tweener J
    50. 9’8 vintage Jeffrey Dale
    51. 7’0 Vintage G&S single, circa 1971, great rider!
    52. 8’2 self shape in XPS
    53. 7’5 self shape EPS single
    54. 9’8 Harbour Turbo Banana
    55. 9’6 Murphy RPNR
    56. 8’2 self re-shape
    57. 7’6 self shape balsa egg
    58. 9'6 vintage Bing PTLW
    59. 10’ early sixties G&S
    60. 9’2 EPS self-shaped HP quad longboard
