Offering up this vintage Jacobs before I put this on CL. Purging tons of crap from my house including boards I don't ride a lot.

9'5 with a big teardrop concave. Green cat eye stringer. Flower deck patch. Big cutlass. Fin Box. Someone likely re-glassed this board I believe but not 100%. It's not crazy heavy. One big repaired ding on the deck - not sure how old it is but looks vintage. Hard to see when it's waxed up. This is a great nose rider. Locks into the wave well and easy to get to the nose. The pintail keeps it loose on the tail. Make offer. Pick up in LA or I can deliver in Ventura.

I'll vouch for Brian being able to schnozz this Purpus. He was getting fives on his first session on it. The repair is super solid; I believe I recall Brian said Wayne Miyata did the work. Sorry for the need to purge, dude, but I can understand it. When you've got ones that just never seem to hit the water, it's time to let someone else get 'em wet. Good luck with the sales and someone should get on this; it's a really nice board that's far whiter than the photos show.

Is that FU box set inside a waveset box? And if so do you know how it was done?

Kinda looks that way. Not sure how that was done. The P/O was Stan Fuji who used to own the Ventura Surf Shop and now shapes. Maybe contact him to find out. Call the shop and they can give you his number.

Hmm I’m guessing that may not be to difficult to remove and use the original box if one were to choose to do so. Thank you for posting and this is the one I’m salivating over.

No prob. It's a pretty special board. I saw it in the shop, started driving home and turned around and bought it. It was there on consignment. If it were 9'8 I would keep it in my quiver. Keep over reaching my foot by 3 inches ;)

Take a risk and buy it. You can always sell it to me at a loss if you don’t like it.
